Lego
Playing with Legos was always fun growing up, and we recently got to do it for this commercial, putting our childhood talents to use for this hybrid of stop motion and CG animation. PandaPanther directed the live action fusing family fun with the controlled chaos of 3D lego-motion. The animation process involved some heavy R&D making use of a technique called voxelizing to merge hundreds of individual lego pieces into different evolving shapes.
